Develop your practice
and confidence with
our training.

Our training and seminars are designed to support greater clarity, confidence, and understanding through structured, assessment-led teaching grounded in real clinical experience.

Take what you know further.

IOS Bowen training is designed for qualified Bowen practitioners who want to develop their understanding beyond the procedures they already know.

You don't need to start again.

Instead, you'll revisit familiar work from a different perspective — exploring the principles behind it, understanding what you're feeling and learning how assessment can guide your treatment.

What makes IOS Bowen different?

Assessment-led

Assessment helps determine what you work on, rather than simply following the same sequence for every client.

Measureable

Reassessment allows you to observe changes throughout treatment and understand whether what you've done has made a difference.

Palpation-focused

Developing your ability to feel, identify and understand changes in tissue is central to the approach.

Continually Developing

The work gives you the opportunity to learn from every client and continue refining your practice over time.

Practical

Theory is brought to life through demonstrations, supervised practice and working together in small groups.

What will you learn?

Our training explores:

  • The history and lineage of Bowen

  • The underlying principles of the work

  • Holistic assessment

  • Palpation and tissue awareness

  • Understanding tone and symmetry

  • Relevant Bowen procedures

  • How procedures relate to assessment

  • Demonstration and clinical application

  • Reassessment and monitoring change

  • Practical application through supervised work

Who is the training for?

IOS Bowen seminars are designed for qualified Bowen practitioners who want to deepen their understanding and develop their clinical practice.

They may be:

  • Looking for a more structured approach to assessment

  • Wanting to improve their palpation skills

  • Feeling uncertain about what they are feeling through their hands

  • Looking to become more confident in their clinical decisions

  • Returning to Bowen after time away

  • Interested in developing their practice further

Two days of learning, practice and demonstration.

Our core IOS Bowen seminar is delivered over two days.

You'll spend time learning the theory, watching demonstrations and putting your understanding into practice through hands-on work.

You'll work in small groups, with instructors available to observe, answer questions and help you develop your practical skills.

The emphasis is on learning by doing — with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and explore what you're feeling.

Development doesn't stop here.

The collective is also developing focused development seminars for practitioners who want to revisit particular aspects of the work without repeating the full IOS Bowen seminar.

These may include focused days around specific areas, assessment, screening patterns or practical palpation skills.
